You may have heard the news that IWC has released the limited-edition IWC Ingenieur Chronograph Sport Edition “50th Anniversary of Mercedes-AMG” to commemorate, as the name suggests, the golden anniversary of AMG, the performance motoring arm of Mercedes-Benz. The watch will be available in a limited run of 250 pieces and is available at only a small premium over the standard Ingenieur Chronograph Sport.
Under the dial, this watch is equipped with the same movement as the regular production IWC Ingenieur Chronograph Sport or the Portugieser Chronograph, which is the in-house Caliber 89361. An automatic chronograph shared with 68 hours of power reserve, this movement provides flyback functionality, a feature that fits correctly in with the motorsport racing theme as it is used to time successive intervals of time like race laps. It has the special hour and minute totalizer as well at 12 o’clock which is intended to make the chronograph reading more intuitive.

I said before that this edition had an especially light premium over the non-limited model. Other than that, the two replica watches shared a movement, the caliber 3135, along with similar hands and an identical dial layout.
If the Submariner was a Land Rover, gorgeous in a tough, utilitarian, getting-things-done kind of way, this new Yacht-Master had the opulent bearing and imperious manners of a Range Rover—still extremely capable underneath, but a bit too pretty to go anywhere near the rough stuff.
Perhaps owing to its close resemblance to the Submariner in every way except price, the Yacht-Master has never quite matched its incredible popularity, although initial waiting lists were formidable on its release. The Rolex crafted the watch from a variety of precious materials, including their two patented alloys Rolesor and Rolesium over the years, a combination of gold and steel, and platinum and steel respectively. Apart from making its own in-house rattrapante, Breitling replica also equipped the start-stop mechanism with a special isolating mechanism to save power. To me, the Patek Philippe item is the only other watch to use something like this. Breitling’s mechanism has two patents and permits the movement to be much more effective. Basically, when you start the chronograph and stop the first chronograph hand, it is held in isolation, separated from the still-running train, creating less friction. When you press the button again, the hand is re-connected and keeps on as usual. 
The Navitimer Rattrapante is acceptable in two cases, steel and red gold. It measures a whopping 45mm in diameter, so it still falls into ridiculously large territory. The case shape itself is similar to the original Navitimer, with the thin ridged bezel and turn-down lugs. The chronograph pushers are round and large enough for easy operation, just how you would want them to be, and the split-seconds function is activated by a button set into the crown. Action on all the functions is crisp and clean, though we got limited time with this piece at Baselworld (and are looking forward to exploring it further soon).
The brown dial falls right on trend with the faux-patina epidemic we saw at Baselworld. To be clear, I still have not determined how I feel about this trend – the watch manufactures are kind of damned if they do and damned if they don’t. People wanted vintage-inspired replica watches and got faux patina, which looks great but in reality just doesn’t feel as cool in theory.
The dial on the new Breitling Navitimer is very similar to a vintage tropical dial and features three registers and a date window. The date window is placed between four and five o’clock, which is probably my least favorite place to put a date window. I’ll let you all fight to the death on that down in the comments section though. The red gold model is available on a leather, crocodile, or rubber strap, while the steel has all these options plus a steel bracelet available as well.
The steel version is available with a linked bracelet, but the red gold version is only available on the bracelets. As a whole, I guess that this is a very nice release from Breitling. It indicates that the brand is taking real watchmaking more seriously, and in a big way. It is clear that time and effort was put into coming up with something exciting that mixes innovation and heritage, and even if this cheap watch is not for me on a personal level, I can see how others might want to order it.
Attractive Bulgari Octo Finissimo Automatic Replica Watch
The Octo Finissimo Automatic fake model is the latest in Bulgari’s trio of record-breaking perfect ultra-thin replica watches, and perhaps the greatest. Now let’s take a general view of the watch’s barely-there beauty, and find out why it’s such a standout.

But the benefit of the titanium case extends beyond its lightness; it’s exceptionally thermo-conductive, meaning it very quickly matches your body temperature, making it even more comfortable. 
On the wrist
This watch disappears on the wrist in the best possible way. Its lack of bulk or weight means you can actually forget you’re wearing it, until you need it. But when you need to tell the time, and look at it, you forget all else, so striking is the design. And this watch is a far more conspicuous object of design than many of its Swiss cousins in many ways.
The bracelet
To my mind, a good strap accentuates the properties, style and aesthetic of the watch it’s attached to. By these criteria alone, the titanium bracelet on the Octo Finissimo is a real winner. The scaled, segmented full-width links are a natural extension of the case, flowing around your wrist in a sinuous titanium curve. It also adds a feeling of rigid solidity, which doesn’t go astray on an otherwise svelte piece.
The verdict
This fake watch was one of the real surprises from Baselworld. Not the slender-factor per se — given their previous efforts with the Octo Finissimo tourbillon and the minute repeater, we realized of their credibility in the ultra-thin space. No, what surprised journalists and industry veterans alike was just how well this watch worked on the wrist. Breaking a record for the sake of it is one thing, but breaking a record creating a beautiful, supremely wearable watch is something else entirely. I know a lot of people who have never before considered a replica Bulgari that are now looking at the brand with fresh, and covetous, eyes. For my money, it’s one of the perfect releases of 2017.

I guess that you may wonder, as I did when I first saw this replica watch, how you quickly get the chronograph minute hand in position at the start the countdown. The answer: by pushing the button located at four o’clock, set into the crown guard. Each press moves the hand back by one minute. It’s quite a clever execution really, and the placement of the countdown in the fourth quarter of the dial allows for the addition a nautical tachymeter scale too. 
This model looks very much the part of your typical replica Panerai. Review Of Omega Speedmaster 57 Co-Axial: An Iconic Member Of Speedmaster Family

No doubt it features Omega’s co-axial escapement with the silicium (Si 14) balance spring, a free-sprung screw balance and it’s chronometer rated – identical movement than the Seamaster 600m Chrono or the Speedmaster gray Side of The Moon.
The 2013 Omega Speedmaster 57 was using the identical recipe as the Omega Seamaster 300 Master Co-Axial introduced last year, which means a classical inspired watch but not a simple re-edition. Omega chose to modernize the design – but still using some classical gimmicks – and to bring into the case a modern, efficient and reliable movement, the calibre 9300, instead of just recreating the exact identical watch. therefore, the Omega Speedmaster 57 features this bi-compax movement, with hours & minutes chronograph hands in a single sub-dial, a self-winding mechanism and 2 barrels for 60 hours of power reserve. The stainless steel case, with its straight lugs and its brushed metallic bezel – just like the original Omega Speedmaster CK2915 from 1957 – measures 41.5mm and has both polished and brushed surfaces. The dial is also updated, with beige transferred dial indications. Distinguishing this model from its 2013 counterpart are the recessed hour markers that are partially filled with classical Super-LumiNova that emits a green light instead of the applied indexes.
Alpha-shaped hands can be found in the small 60-minute and 12-hour recorder at 3 o’clock and the small seconds sub-dial at 9 o’clock. The 2013 Omega Speedmaster 57 was coming with ‘Alpha’ hands – that refer to the 1959 Speedmaster CK2998 and not to the 1957 Speedmaster CK2915 – and applied indexes in white metal, filled with luminous paint.
The bracelet is also made in stainless steel and features polished external links and a central brushed link. The novelties for 2015 nevertheless are not here. You’ll have to take a closer to the hands and the dial to find out.
The Value Proposition The Best Replica Hamilton
One of the inspirations for the watch we have here is the 1970 Hamilton Chrono-Matic. The replica Hamilton, however, has never really lost sight of its sporty American heritage. The brand has kept on making easy-to-wear watches like the Khaki Field, Pan Europe, and Railroad over the years, albeit sometimes going a little overboard too. These are timeless design traits, not historical relics.

The Intra-Matic 68 AutoChrono’s case is 42mm across and 14.7mm thick. When I first saw the spec sheet on this one, I was ready to give it a hard pass on those numbers alone. It’s significant with watches like this to keep in mind that this is a totally modern replica watch with some vintage inspiration, not a straight vintage re-issue, and for a lot of modern consumers that size is going to be just suitable. 
Beyond the basic measurements, Hamilton did a really perfect job nailing the vintage details on the dial. The snailing inside the cream-colored sub-dials is really subtle, and all the dial markings are as crisp as can be. I particularly like the contrast between the tachymeter track, with its black-on-cream colors, and the minutes/seconds track, which is white on black.
It’s a big workhorse chronograph movement, but not one with fancy decoration that you need to see through a sapphire window. Decorating the movement would just raise cost, and this watch’s price is a big part of the overall package. Second, a sapphire caseback would further enlarge the thickness, something that would hurt the wearability of the replica watches in a real way. The less flashy option really is much better at times.
On the wrist, I enjoyed the Intra-Matic 68 more than I thought I would. I hoped it to be too thick, and a little too wide for my small wrist, but it was actually rather comfortable once the strap wore in a bit. Yeah, it’s a thick watch – there’s no way around that – but the lugs have the right arch to them and I got used to the size quickly. It’s easy to mistake this for an actual vintage watch from a far distance, with the muted dial colors and faithful styling going a long way there. The watch is bold and extremely legible, just as a real-deal racing chronograph should be.
